Default 72 LeMans vert quarter mess

I'm hoping someone can advise/show how they repaired the junction behind the tire of the inner/outer wheelhouse, trunk drop-off and the quarter skin itself. Pictures of that repair or someone with an original non-rusted area (is there anyone with that??) would be great. This is the mess I'm dealing with. Of course the "technician" that perfomed this hack job, back when the original owner had the car, pop rivited a piece of metal over the joint and slathered a ton of black silicone or sealer sealer over the entire patch. The other side is just as bad.
Amazingly, the drop offs aren't in too bad of shape.

Thanks, Jeff

buy , if available the back half of a wheel house . there is a pinch there. inner housing, inner quarter extension and out wheel housing. and of course quarter lower. if you have to buy full panels you can cut and patch or just replace quarters.
