When I rehabbed my interior about 6 years ago, there were a couple items that I had done vs doing it myself. The headliner with sail panels being one of them.

The gentleman that did the install did a very good job, but stated not to get the clips because glue works better.

At this point, the glue has failed on both sides and now I'm getting a wicked squeak, specifically from the passenger side sail panel.

How are you all installing these for longevity and no noise?

Ive used industrial 3M hook latch(velcro) to attach problem panels like this.
another example is the bottom of door panels

I actually have some of that stuff on hand. Is there a specific place you locate it, or do you use the areas where the clips would have been?

I'll have to see about cleaning the glue off first, but that might do the trick.

and in places you have the usual cardboard warpage
