looking to find the current owner of a 69 400 firebird sold at an auction in dallas, tx. I have the original engine and protect-o-plate. Was a light green car and was supposedly moved to North Carolina. Anyone know the best way to search for that ?

As said, get the partial VIN from the engine.
This will be the VIN of the car. If at an auction, someone may have the VIN recorded for it. Which auction was it? If the bigger ones, they may have the buyer's info?

Wouldn't the VIN be on the Protect-o-plate?
