Default Position of engine in chassis

Is there an issue with having the engine 5 degrees up. I have a front and mid plate in a 65 LeMans and the problem is the center link. Without moving the engine back and cutting the firewall the best I can do with the TH-400 trans almost hitting the floor and the pan almost sitting on the center link is 5 degrees up. Is this an issue?
