'67 GTO OEM ignition switch?

I bought this ignition switch off ebay. (see pics below) It is supposed to be an OEM new switch. After removing the key cylinder I tried to test fit into the new switch. I could not get it to seat. I did align the bottom key cylinder tang and the receiver on the switch but still a no go. So whats the secret to getting the cylinder to seat or is this the wrong switch?
