Because.

Just because.

It’s always been that way.

Just text them your pictures, unfortunately that’s the way you have to do it.

You can, if the photo is hosted somewhere (like here, or photobucket) and you provide the link.

Where the link looks like this:

I've got a whole thread of handy photos here, because I no longer trust photobucket

The Go Advanced gives you a lot more formatting options, e.g font selection, re-do/un-do, paragraph alignment, etc. Just compare the tool bars between the two and see the difference.

Because this place is a time capsule of the internet circa 1999. We can't get too advanced around here. Pictures in a PM? Woah now, that's crazy talk!

KS Circuitguy is right, SPAM would be crazy.
There are some folks that refuse to read info you send and Always ask for pictures.. then argue about them .
There would need to be a merit system for it and Bart is plenty busy already helping the forums.

Moderators have zero access to the technical side of the forums.

Yes the software isn’t up to date with many other forums.

It is what it is.

Roll with it is all I can say.

Since the sale of the PY retail parts business to Ames the owners of the PY forums keep it running at a financial loss to them, for the benefit of the members here.

So be grateful maybe.

Actually, you can send pictures in pm's however you have to have the picture uploaded to a 3rd part host like imgur, photobucket or the like. From that site they may have a menu

from that menu i selected medium thumbnail with the BBCode message boards and forums, and copied it into this post or your PM I sent you

You can start a thread in a certain sub section with the picture posted and have them see it there.
Or send to their email address.

Upload your picture in Test and Tune. Then link to that like Keith Seymore did.
One can delete photos in the attachment tab in UserCP.
