I’m looking at a car in Canada. Would do a drive it home deal if I pull the trigger. Did some research, & does not look like too much of a hassle if it is an old car. It’s what you don’t know that gets you though. This one is likely too much $ for what it is, but you never know until you see it in person.
Thanks for any insight.

I'm Canadian with a place in AZ. In '11 I took an older project car down that I owned. The only hiccup was that was that my Ontario 'title'/ownership slip did not match the vin on the car. I did not notice this. Basically a typo on the paperwork. When I crossed the border the CBP officer did notice this. He did have the option of refusal entry of the car. He did make some notes as he allowed the entry stating he's opting for the AZ DMV to deal with it. Correction was done in AZ and an AZ title obtained.

About ten years ago some crazy kook from Oregon drove my not-been-on-road for twenty years 51 custom fjord home FROM MANITOBA with no insurance, no plates and just a bill of sale.
Made it home too. Definitely couldn't get away with that going the other way...don't ask me how I know
