77 Trans Am 400 to 455 engine swap
Greetings, New to the forum
I'm needing info on how difficult it will be to exchange the Pontiac 400 to a 455. since the 400 6X8 heads will bolt on I'm thinking the 455 block should drop in with the exhaust and transmission mountings will all fit, is this correct or will I need to change a lot? also if I need more info perhaps links to those in the forum to learn whats needed Thanks all...... |

I have heard the motor is most likely 7.6=8.0 compression on the 400will the 400 6X8 heads on the 455 result in around 9-1 compression
whats a good cam option with that without going for MAX a good street option? thax |
