Default 1969 data tag

Pretty loaded 350 2 bl car. Taken delivery of in late January 1969. Might send for phs not sure if I'm going to try and save it or pss the parts on to some other cars.
Not 100 on the tag data for the vinyl roof (it is faded and very weathered almost looks like snake skin at this point),
Assuming it's gold or parchment?
Car is espresso brown w gold interior.
Lots of amazing options do the tag codes indicate an option "bundle?"
Thanks in advance

The car is Expresso Brown with dark gold top. (or dark fawn)
Standard Gold interior.

No option codes like earlier cars (64 etc)

This car has or was born with:
Pwr steering
Pwr drum brakes
Pwr windows
Pwr seat
Pwr antenna
Ac and rear defrost and soft ray
Tilt wheel
Posi and turbo 400
Auto console on floor
Clock
Believe original motor is 350/2bbl by code and 47 heads
Pretty unusual car and it's rough but except the antenna and the original wheels are all there

Anyone have pictures of espresso w gold top?
John. I have protective plate and dealer info id like to email you if you want pm your info

Sounds like a potential vested employee PMD car .
50-50 chance , and no real monetary value added necessarily , more sentimental with a 350 2bbl car.

The PoP date compared against trim tag date could be an indicator on that.

PHS invoice would be a sure fire indicator.
But not worth getting on a parts car.

What does vested employee care mean? Like a retirement gift or special order with inexpensive options? I have the protecto plate info I guess I ca do a preliminary data search of the original owner
Car is pretty special trying to get a key made, may just pull column apart and try and get it to run correct way or just hot wire it. Motor is free and guy I got it from said he drove it as is long ago.

Vested PMD employees got company cars to drive.
They hand pick ordered whatever they wanted , up to a determined dollar amount.
Every 3 months or 3000 miles - another new car.

Just a picture of the trim tag and a picture of the PoP would do for now.
If you can't upload pictures , you can just tell us those dates.

Those employees were like heads of departments and executives , etc...
Not regular factory workers.
PMD sold the cars through dealerships at discount , after they were turned in by the employee.

Upper right corner is the date = 06-69

Below that is the mileage on the car
1 = 1 mile

I did a little digging, this gentleman was quite a man. No pmd connection that i see but he was not an average guy. I did end up ordering the phs today too. Curiosity got me.

I completely missed the trim tag picture in post #1
01B dated.

My settings don't show pictures unless I click on the provided link to a picture.
Or signatures or avatars either.

With the unique colors and option content , I would say he personally hand selected everything about the car and ordered it his way.

THM 400 not completely sure if available with 350 2bbl .
Turbine 2spd and THM 350 were for sure.
If it definitely has a THM400 though , might check it's VIN stamp.

it is def a turbo 400 and it def looks original. Only thing i have found withthe 350 2 bl, is that maybe the posi and the AC triggered the turbo 400. its heavy girl with all the power accessories too

AC triggers the TH400 in 1969 for Firebirds & A-bodies (non-GTO's) when an auto trans is ordered.

Good info Dennis .
I had checked a dealer order form and a power train chart earlier and couldn't find anything conclusive.
Nothing exactly eliminated it either.
They grouped M38 and M40 together.

Yes I can read that one pretty good.
The one on gt-37.org was almost impossible with 2 pair of reading glasses stacked together.
