Does anybody know if this is 1st or 2nd design? Car is a 72.

If you measure the distance between the clips most of the kits will tell you what their measurement is. FWIW my 74 TA has first design and the clips looked closer together. 40 bucks for a little plastic piece is a rip off.

Thanks to all. FYI-these are a terrible design. Two fell apart while cleaning and another is cracked upon close inspection. If you have these, inspect them closely.

Some info for anybody that needs to do the repair......I ended up rebuilding all of my seatbelts. Since I had two with good GM emblems/buttons and three that the emblems were missing, I ordered two from Ebay/Parts Place since they included emblems and three from some generic auto parts place on Ebay. The Parts Place were about $8 a piece more, but were black and included the GM emblem. The generic ones are cheaper, but needed to be painted as they were a weird grayish color, raw plastic maybe? And no emblem. All the parts seemed exact match to original GM.
