Default -AN radiator fittings

Hello all,

Moving over to another project I've got started up. Working on a 69 Firebird and will be ordering a custom radiator. Curious if anyone has converted to -AN fittings and if so, what sizes are you using top and bottom. I've got to think the factory had something in mind when they made the two ports different sizes.

I should mention;

I am planning to use a Merziere electric water pump (I've had very good rusults with them in the past) not sure if I will use a variable speed control of any kind yet or not.

I will be using PWM brushless fans with controller and an inline temp sensor at the radiator bottom hose connection.

Thanks

Look up "Fast Monty's Garage" on YouTube. He has a 69 GTO. He just recently did a video about AN radiator fittings.

It's not so much my thing, even tho I LOVE the functionality of AN fittings for fuel lines, and I HATE twisting off stuck hoses and clamps.

He also did a number of videos about fan cfm comparisons. Because of his videos, I bought a brushless fan for the slow startup current instead of the huge starting spike for a conventional fan

Thanks very much!
I've got brushless fans on another project I've been working on. I too like that soft startup.
