I hope to do a late winter project listed above. I want to keep my original 14" Rally I wheels. Any advice? Any kits better or worse? I see Ames has a kit that reuses backing plates. FYI I have a drive on hoist. Any good videos? Thanks in advance for help

I'm pleased to report that my disc brake conversion kit from Ames for 14" wheels is a success. I have about 3/8" clearance to my original Rally I wheels. Kit was very complete. Thanks Ames

Which kit did you use for the conversion? Growing moss waiting for Inline Tube to restock their kits.
Thanks! |

Ames R440BA. I had to drill out 4 spindle holes from 7/16" to 1/2", no big deal. New setup does not use dust sheids. No probelm either. I'm very happy with outcome. Now I have brakes.
