Default 403 olds fuel pump in the right way.

Okay so i need to figure this out before I put the new fuel pump. The original pump had the fuel lines facing up. Most other gm make an models have the fuel lines facing down. Is up really correct!? I've had to literally return 2 different pumps until I finally got the right pump. Also is there a difference between ac and non ac cars?

Yes. Fuel lines are on top of the pump on the 403. I don't see any reference to pump being specific to A/C car or non A/C car. You may find more detailed info on the Classic Oldsmobile forum if you haven't joined them yet as Olds is what they know best. Also sometimes searching something like " 1977 Oldsmobile 403 images" can be helpful when these type of questions arise.
