Default Blower motor fan only working on two speeds

Well I went and started the pontiac today outside temp was a balmy 43. Lol. but I decided to start it anyhow just to see how to would run with the chock hooked up. Let it sit about 5 or so minutes and realized I'm not getting any air out of my dash vents. Well the heat sure does work in that car but the fan only works on two settings the 2 in the middle. I'm i on the right track that it's the blower motor.

I would suspect either the switch, wiring, or the blower resister, the 1st thing I would do is pull the connector off the blower resister and clean the contacts. It the fan works in 2 of the 4 positions I don't think it is the fan. The resister should not come into play for the high position just the the others, you could jump the power directly to the high position to bypass the resister.

Yeah I found out why my high blast isn't working, cause the hi blower resistor wire that goes to alternator isn't there. Do you know where the red wire plugs into the alternator at so I can make a new 1. Also where is the Ac resistor located at? I'll clean it tomorrow and report back.
