I bought a engine turned dash applique from NPD and it came through Phoenix Graphics. In the instructions it mentions a few things am not familiar with and thought someone here would know better-
it mentions "pre-app"/ later it mentions "slide out". not sure what those are and instructions are not very 'instructive'. So, what have you all used to install this to clean and prep and put on? do you need any special prep.cleaners, etc or can one install with normal house hold products? thanks in advance.

Sometimes one can use an "adhesion promoter" ahead of the application. I wonder if that is what they mean by "pre-app".
I would suggest cleaning the surface first with isopropyl alcohol. That was the recommendation from Kay Automotive Graphics for all my graphic/decal installs when I was at Nissan. "Slide out" - I'm not sure. There are "wet slide" decals, like the old model car decals, but that doesn't seem relevant for a graphic like the dash applique. K

Has anyone here actually used these products? It seems they would work as they are sold by the same people who make the graphics. I wonder though just what they 'rebottled'?

I'm not for sure, but the 'slide-out' may be when doing the attaching, the backing is 'slid' out after sticking the decal where it should be.
(usually has 2 piece backing, align decal where needed tape it down where positioned right, then peel backing off 1 half then other half) You then slide out the backing a small amount while pressing the decal down, sliding more out and squeegeeing the decal, continue until all pulled out. My brother did a ton of graphics for awhile.
