Trying to figure out this float bowl application...Bottom of the bowl has numbers
700 7011997. Has the ported vacuum option, passenger side. Also had the OEM power valve in it. Large venturi bore like an end carb application. Maybe Olds? Regards Joe |

The 997 float bowl is used on all '59 through '63 Tri-Powers. It is used on both end carbs.
I have never seen one of these float bowls with ported vacuum provision or power valve. Sounds like it would be a good bowl to use on a '66 Tri-Power center carb clone. Let me know if you need any of the large 2G float bowls. I have many.

Thank you both for the replies. I am going to use it as an experiment to attempt re-coloring. We will see how it goes.

Joe, Are you considering doing coloring for others besides yourself. I send my carbs to Florida for coloring, but lately, UPS and USPS have lost or damaged two shipments of 14 carbs.
DM me if you have any interest in doing my carb coloring. The guy in Florida does great work, but I can't afford to lose any mor carbs.

Hello.
I don't believe I would be offering the re-color process. Just want to get my OEM 66 carbs bodies as close as to OEM as possible. Trying to avoid any shipping costs. Shipping prices are high and lost/damage claims are increasing. SAD! Regards |

very true. USPS just informed me that they lost my shipment of eight carbs. UPS lost a box of eight carbs in November. Both packages contained Tri-Power carbs that are not easily replaced. In 30 years of shipping car parts, I had no losses. Now, I've had two big losses in less than a year.
