Default Removing engine in 68 that has RAM Air Exhaust Manifolds

I have a 68 Tempest (GTO clone wagon) that currently has the stock D port Ram Air exhaust manifolds mounted to the engine and I'm getting ready to remove the engine. I've got the exhaust pipes disconnected from the manifolds, but the manifold to engine bolts are rusted tight. Is there enough clearance to just yank the engine with the manifolds attached? It would be much easier to remove the bolts afterwards when I have more room to work with my bag of bolt removal tricks.

It looks like the engine will clear to me. The car does have the original A/C setup, but I don't think the suitcase presents any issues.

What say those of you that have done it?

Regards,
Old Joe

Sure, but that's a different engine bay. I would think if it worked in a Firebird, it would work for an A-body, but I'd like to know from somebody who can actually verify it for the same engine bay.

I installed my 350 in my 69 Lemans with RA manifolds mounted so it shouldn't be a problem removing the same. A/C equipped car.

Thanks 433lemans and Form74 for validating. On the Lemans 350 install, the RA manifolds were this style as shown on the Butler Performance website, correct?

It's easier if you take out the manifold studs to exhaust pipes.

It can be done. I pulled mine with D-port RA manifolds attached and installed it with round ports manifolds with little issue. Watch the frame clearance though.

1968 GTO 400 H.O. with the RA exhaust manifolds and a/c. I have had the engine in and out a couple times over 40 years and always do it with the exhaust manifolds attached.
