Question Windshield wash nozzles?

Just putting back together my 1970s washer and wiper system and realized I cannot find how these nozzles were mounted? I had assumed that they were screwed to the underside of the hood at the back edge, but I don’t see any holes there? They actually have a threaded hole in them, so it’s like there’s a small bolt that must go through something else holding them on.

Replacing factory AC with Vintage Air freed up a lot of space on the back of the passenger fender well, so mounting the reservoir back there. This gives me a place upfront near the battery to mount my remote power steering reservoir from CVF Racing.

that does not help much here...

The squirter unit looks identical to my Lemans piece, so I would think it would mount the same. The "finger" highlighted in red slips into the edge of the hood as shown.

Viewed to the rear.

Thank you, I’m thinking you meant to attach picture?

Yes, obviously I wish I HAD an assembly manual…

Yup, up in the hood. Latch the little locator in the hood first, then run the bolt in. The bolts will be the self threading type (aggressive threads like a slef tapper). Make sure you use short stubby bolts, or you'll be getting close to the outter hood skin.

Excellent, thanks guys! I found the small pockets, a little more hidden in the fiberglass formula hood!

So, I see some models like GTO had holes going through firewall for 2 hoses to go through upper firewall and then up thru that plastic grid in cowl? Looks like mine doesn’t have these holes so must just route strait up to hood, through this metal clip in middle and then split to each nozzle. I’ll see if I cannot run these lines tomorrow. Wish I’d done this while motor was still out! oh well!

Thanks again for the tips!
