Default 1963 421 Block Help

Hi There - first time posting on this forum. Thanks for the help. I have included some photos of what I think is a 1963 421 block. Casting code 544988 with a date code of C23. But there is no stamping on the face of the block. Is this a possible service replacement block? Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again
