My 75 current has blacked out grills completely, looks like the chrome edge was painted at some time as their is some chipping also chipping on the fins etc Picture 1
The PO bought two more sets of grills Black with Chrome edge picture 2 Silver with Chrome edge picture 3 What should be correct, does trim level determine it I saw some online that weee chrome silver and just black fins

According to the assembly manual, the Firebird/Esprit models have an all argent silver grille (496286/496287). Like njsteve's Gramma car.
Formula and Trans Am had an Argent Silver grille with a black background (496284 and 496285). But, I've seen ones like the third picture, just don't know if they were doctored or not.

Both of my 75 TA’s have silver with black backgrounds. All black looks odd to me.
