I have a 68 His and Her Shifter that I’d like to install in my 69 Lemans, which came from factory with a 400 and a center console. I have a few questions for those who have done this or otherwise know:
Will I need a different length shift cable? Will a 68 top plate like in the link work/snap into a 69 console? Or will I need a different plate on the the console side? https://www.amesperf.com/parts/20946/ Will I have to use a 68 neutral safety switch on the shifter or can I keep the 69 style - assume it’s on column. I will be purchasing a dust cover and console top plate as the one on the shifter is rusty.
