Morning!
Has anyone tried these under dash gauges? Need a set for a 68 bird. I've used Autometer Sport Comp on other cars and like them, but I think these look even better and I like the wiring panel in the back. Seems like a simple install. Also like the LED lighting. https://newvintageusallc.mybigcommer...ge-power-pack/ Not cheap but neither is Autometer. Thanks Bill

No direct experience with these, but I will comment in general about stepper-motor based gauges. They're great for production vehicles that need a cost effective electric solution for mass production. They are more complex than a mechanical bourdon tube pressure gauge. The accuracy is only as good as the analog to digital conversion circuitry and the resolution of the stepper motor itself.
If the stepper motor has a fine resolution, the movement of the needle will reproduce the smooth sweep of a mechanical gauge. However, if the stepper is cheap, you'll see the "notching" as the stepper moves between fixed steps several degrees of rotation apart. I find this distracting, as you can tell the gauge is hunting between steps to indicate the real measured value of pressure or temperature. So the only way to really know how they perform is to find videos online and observe how smoothly they respond.

I have a set going into my 'bird, but haven't been in use yet. Construction is nice, but can't say yet on performance.
I have Speedhut gauges in my GTO, and absolutely LOVE them. Fast-acting and accurate, I have oil & fuel transducers for water & oil as well, so can compare. SpeedHut came out with their' new Street XL line, and are priced similarly as the NVUs. If I had to do it over again, that's they way I would go: https://speedhut.com/street-xl-gauge...lters=2m!#-!36 You can get them in any color face & pointer, and choose the bezel too. You can also have them imprint a logo/image/text on the face. Most gauges are programmable to work with diff type of senders, have warning lights, and some have peak-hold. Don't overlook VDO and Stewart-Warner, both are high quality, accurate gauges. Summit Racing carries them if you want to look. I've run both, and can attest to quality and accuracy, have used them many times over the last 45 years. Both last a lifetime. No need to go full analog with any 3 of those, new senders are premium quality, accurate, and last a very long time. Buying a gauge mount is no-brainer, choose one that works for you and has the correct size holes. 2 1/16" is the most common. .

You can play with the SpeedHut configurator, choose background colors, face colors, pointer colors, and day/night colors.
https://speedhut.com/customizer/1498 Pretty sure you can change the font, too. .
