I accumulated the parts to swap my car to a hideaway setup. It's fully assembled and the paint on the bumper and fenders is near perfect so I don't want to scratch them when removing to install the hideaway components.

What is the best way to lift and remove it off the car? Should I just unbolt the brackets from the bumpers and remove it all at once or remove the grilles, and other parts first? How do I lift it? It looks like an odd and unbalanced heavy thing to move. I have a lift table, floor jack and cherry picker if need be.

I know many folks have done this before so I appreciate hearing what your experience was doing this.

BTW, I'm just outside of Green Bay if any of you in the area feel like you want to participate in the bumper ectomy. I'll probably do this in fall.
