Guess they aren't going to honor it, got a call today from booking.com saying it will be $199.00 for the weekend and $65.00 for Thursday night? Can't see how they can do that after 2 month's, but guess they do what they want? Will have to save the receipt and send it in to get refund from booking.com figured it was to good to be true!

They always charge more On Friday and Saturday nights on the pontiac nationals weekend.
I’m surprise you’re even able to book it that cheap for that weekend.
I’ve stayed there before and it’s always at least double the regular rate for those two nights.
I just camp at the track and save the Lodging money to buy parts.

Good thing I never cancelled my original reservation. I figured this deal was too good to be true.

Scam scam scam. We too booked for three days at the discount rate. Received this today.

I called it exactly that in my response to them when I cancelled our reservations today. They should be ashamed of themselves.

The places they sent me quote's from sound like real dump's so I think I will just stay where I am, but I'm only staying Thursday and Friday so not as much of a jump in price as it's only $65.00 for Thursday night! They all jump there price's up for this weekend though and it is a scam!

There's no way to enforce that rate? Somebody should have to eat it if you booked it and they accepted it, putting the deposit or payment in full on your credit cards.

They already used the "typo" excuse. The next one will be the "different owner" excuse. That is another one "they" use. You are not going to win without getting the OH AG involved.

Thought I’d put these two threads together. I need to call Econolodge as I still haven’t heard anything from Hotels.com where I originally booked from.

When paying with cash on Sunday make SURE money stays within your sight! Not picking just be watchful. We use to stay there now up the road.

Yes, and check your bill BEFORE you pay. They like to pad it a bit. They got me last year and I never noticed it until I got home.

Yes you are right. They were clever years ago. Was standing right at counter and they did the money down on lower counter trick to friends,hey there's not enough money here! I would vouch for friends honesty in giving correct amount.There were at least 10 of us in a group.That's why we changed been satisfied ever since.Dont know if its training or individuals actions.

Perhaps it's time to find another place no matter how convenient this place is. The problem is, they are all run by the same "people" if you catch my drift.
