Thanks!

When I was going to training in Memphis (Millington actually) I would be on a 3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off schedule. So I would drive home on the 4 day stretched in the 'bird, to basically, DC. I could do it in about 11 hours. It had 256 gears in the rear at the time, and coming out of the mountains before nashville, downhill, it would bury the 160 speedo. With bullet type glass packs. WOT. Yeah.

Since it was usually a weekday, and I would leave at like midnight, it was pretty wide open the whole way. I would usually hit that downhill straightaway at about sunbreak. Breathtaking. In a number of ways!

At the time, TN cops only had radar guns that went up to 99mph, and didn't share records with other states' DMV. You literally paid the cop the fine on the side of the road. My glovebox was packed with tickets. Wish I would have saved some of those, the notes on some of them were hilarious!
