Yes, it's normal to have some movement. You should use PAG during assembly.
After a few heat cycles/run time, they won't turn, or as easily. If you try to turn them after they've been in use for a while, and you turn them a lot, it could leak, but not sure. Just the way I'm thinking about it.
I will never use crimp ends again after using the EZ-clip stuff, but they can be a little pricey.
I used a bulkhead manifold too, which added 8 fittings. Uhg.
