Ouch, that stings a little. I'll be curious to hear what the more informed among us have to say about the market value of A/C parts, because they are worth some money I believe.
Before my GTO went into long term storage in '02, it was not uncommon for people to ask me if I was willing to sell the A/C parts on my car. There were/are a lot of people who regretted throwing their A/C parts in the trash back before these cars were worth anything, and nobody makes reproduction parts for them.
I will be installing a Vintage Air system in my car, too, but the original A/C parts are among the few original parts that I will keep in the shed.
