Fabricated Port Injection intake?
Is there anyone out there making an intake similar to the attached for a traditional Pontiac? I thought I saw some photos a while ago, but can't find them now. Not sure I want to go that direction, just curious.
Thanks!

Cut one up and reweld it for a Pontiac.
I always thought that a legit EFI intake for Pontiacs would sell well. |

I wouldn't think It would be that bad to waterjet a pair or Pontiac flanges out, fab some runners, and weld them to that plenum. Just takes, time, money, and skill.

I'll further Tom V's thoughts... I took his advice and contacted Luhn Perf. about modding my Weiand 2x4 intake.
It'll receive EFI bungs and a hold down system, then I'll bolt the Holley LSx Mid-Ram lower and upper to it.

HWYSTR455, how do you like the victor with the elbow? I heard you can get some distribution issues with an elbow. Have you tried a straight 4bbl throttle body to compare? I am thinking performance wise the victor prob makes sense compared to a DIY but wont look as cool

You can run a typical 4 bbl throttle body if you want, I was considering that, and was going to use a blow-thru hat and air intake tube, but I took a shot at the elbow, and once I held it in my hand, realized it would work well. You could even polish it some, port too if you like, but it's rated to flow more than I need right out of the box, so I left it. It's almost ready to run, so in use experience will be shared on the build thread. .

Here's a pic of the regular elbow, with the divider, but you get the idea.

So I guess the answer is no to anything off the shelf lol....
Could a guy take this intake and cut the runners off of it, keep the flange and water cross over... https://www.ebay.com/itm/1965-1979-3...sAAOSwHQxceCjE and this intake and cut the flange off of it... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevy-LS7-F...4be5%7Ciid%3A1 pick up this setup, sell the intake, find some fuel rails, fab up some new runners and call it a day? How well does cast aluminum weld to sheet aluminum? I would have to have someone do that part for me to make it look good. Again, just letting my mind wonder here a bit.

You'd still have to fab new runners in that scenario since the intake ports on pontiac heads are siamesed. I almost think it would be easier to construct the bathtub, runners and flanges from scratch and do soemthing like Tom is doing where you're using an off the shelf top for the close-out and throttle body attachment.

What chevy intake did H&M modify to make Pontiac tunnel rams?
https://headsandmanifolds.wordpress....d-for-pontiac/ Then could an injected chevy be modified the same way? Clay

"The special RAV heads are from renowned Pontiac engine shop DCI Motorsports and are teamed up with a DCI intake bottom. Luhn Performance added the Holley Hi-Ram intake top to the DCI bottom unit to finish the induction system out.:

Hmm, I like the idea of the Holley EFI intake top, just took some measurements and it looks like it would bolt on top of my Offy 360 dual quad with a base plate, would fit in nicely with my efi conversion plan. I had planned on a pair of Holley 90 degree elbows and throttle bodies but would prefer this LS top.

interesting with the adapter base. Looks like Carburetor Flange Front-to-Rear Spacing – 8-5/8” (got that from the intake 300-121 specs page)
I'll have to check spacing on the offy. Even if it had to be cut, moved and welded, as well as injector bungs added, it may save some work. Would be similar to what Tom's setup would look like other than intake style. Might have to cut the water cross over and use a tripower style due to tight spacing? Thanks!
