New from WV- Pontiac G8
Hey guys, my buddy John has been talking up this forum for a long time; I finally made my way over here. I see tons of Pontiac knowledge here, not so much geared towards late models but I love the classics too so I plan on spending lots of hours reading and learning here.
My car is a 08 Pontiac G8 GT, dedicated to drag racing these days. I ran last season at Kanawha Valley but looks like the track has gone belly-up so next season will be at Owingsville and Clay City KY. Car runs Modified/No box. I managed to take class at KV's last race; apparently forever... http://kanrace.com/kvmp_results.html Car was featured in High Performance Pontiac a while back, when I lived in Florida and it was still a street car. http://www.highperformancepontiac.co..._gt/index.html . Lots things changed since then and lots more to come. Current best ET is 11.56 @ 118 but I hope to be in the high 10s next season. Anyway, thanks for having me! Tom

 frittering and wasting the hours in an off hand way.... 1969 GTO, 455ci, 230/236 Pontiac Dude's "Butcher Special" Comp hyd roller cam with Crower HIPPO solid roller lifters, Q-jet, Edelbrock P4B-QJ, Doug's headers, ported 6X-8 (97cc) heads, TKO600, 3.73 geared Eaton Tru-Trac 8.5", hydroboost, rear disc brakes......and my greatest mechanical feat....a new heater core.
