First of all, I'm not on much anymore, if this has been on here ignore it. I don't need any "what hole do you live in" comments. I thought it was noteworthy.

Beautiful car and beautifully done, but I guess I'm committing Pontiac blasphemy by saying that I'd rather have a clone that I could actually drive instead of something worth so much that I'd be afraid to take it out of the garage.

No blasphemy, I agree. Although the best of both worlds would be if I had the kind of money that I could drive it and, I don't want to say don't care because I would care no matter how much money I had, but not be afraid to drive it.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think this is the car that Steve Brown had restored in the early 90's. If it is, it is one of Tiemann's early restorations. I have driven and been driven in this car. It looks alot nicer in the pictures than it did then.

For $300K, it should have had A/C!

I was at rk motors on tuesday and looked at that car. It is beautiful in person. Offered my '75 ta in even trade for it, they did chuckle a little. The guy i talked to there said most of the cars they have their would never see the street, either just parked in a building or maybe trailered to some shows. I don't want a car i can't drive and enjoy.

Honestly as nice as that car is, I have ZERO interest in that car.
First of all, I like to DRIVE my classic car not park it in a garage to stare at. Secondly if I'm spending big bucks on a Musclecar, it damn well better be a 4 speed. Sorry auto guys but to me an automatic trans is just flat out boring. I understand the idea of running an auto trans at the track for consistency but for my weekend cruiser, I need to shift myself. Lastly, for that kind of coin I could have 8-10 different badass cars instead of one garage queen.

I'd rather buy a Ford GT and a Tesla for that money.

And there are still plenty of reasonably priced "driver" cars around. I just picked up a '72 LeMans GT for waaaay less than the cheapest new car on any lot! I'm not sure why we are trying to compare apples to oranges here. Leave the super rare cars to the museums (thankfully there are those guys who will preserve them!) and enjoy your drivers like I do. The hobby has room for all of us!
