Default Who is this beautiful young lady?

Can you tell me who this beautiful young lady is? I have stood on this very spot and possibly been in that silo! From, MailOnline - news, sport, celebrity, science and health stories.

P.S. For Big bonus points if you can tell me what that missile is protecting I'll... be amazed. I know but can you figure it out? She was very famous and anyone my age (49) or older will remember her. That's the only hint you get.

Default Straights Area Antique Car Show

This was at St. Ignace, MI 1984. It was the first time I met Jim Wangers. In the photo he's holding a copy of the 1967 "Pontiac High Performance Brochure" that I had just given him. Page 297 of his book "Glory Days" discusses being at this show. He doesn't mention me in the chapter, but my '72 is pictured at the top of the same page in a shot of the 1984 GTOAA Convention (left lower corner of the photo). Note: How come I still remember all this? I don't even remember what I had for breakfast.

Sharon Tate at the Rattlesnake Mt. Nike missile silo protecting the Hanford nuclear project site?

The girl of my dreams riding on a Nike missile. Her name means nothing.... I'm in love cause she's one tough woman to do that.

Not Sharon Tate. But she used to be second on my list. LOL

Cold war...that brings back memories.
There's an old Minute Man silo about 10-15 minutes from where I grew up. The grounds are used for paint ball games now.

ANYTHING vintage on an old auto haulaway is WAY cool!

I'd own ANY of those if I could have bought one NEW.

I've never heard of SAGE but it sounds cool, something like the "Skunk Works"?

Yes, I agree, the era is fading fast.

1964 GTO was supposed to have disc brakes, Radial tires, and later ( 1966 ) those eight lug wheels. Ed Cole killed all of that. The Tiger theme was killed by corporate as well as Tri-Power ( on Pontiac models and Olds 442 ) by Cole.
Very interesting how Cole's beloved Corvette and Corvair were allowed to keep multiple carburetion. Nice guy.

Circa 1971, this is my 65 Lemans 326 4 speed that I bought for $900 while I was stationed in Long Beach CA. Wished I still had it and it looked the same.

Oddly your car is surrounded by 1957 Fords.
