Thanks |

Was that an option? I don't see it in the brochure?

The 65 - 68 RH mirror does match the LH remote but the RH is fixed.

That's the one, the fixed RH mirror that matches the 65-68 LH remote mirror. |

Hi, the fixed RH mirrors exist, but are impossible to find as very few were ordered as an option from factory.
I just finished building one from a factory LH remote mirror: Stripped and polished it. Then from a piece of 32mm Alum tubing I cut the required spacer to turn angle from LH to RH. This was harder than it looks as just a straight angle cut made the bottom of mirror hit against the base. So had to be angled in and up to clear base plate. When I was happy with the angle, I sent that off for Chrome Plating. I filled base piece and spacer with metal putty. When they had dried together I drilled out enough room for remote cables and attaching bolt. Using an M4 x 90mm Stainless Steel Allen bolt, I reversed a wing nut and moulded that into the mirror housing for a secure anchor point. Next was the point of no return, a 20mm hole saw into Bonne’s door. 4x drill holes required to mount mirror!! Mirror on and looking good. Next step, drill hole for Remote in door trim.. Done, looks like factory, except they never did a RH remote from factory in ‘66 (but should have). cheers paul

My 64 Brougham had one. I even lent the mirror to Steve Ames to try to repop it but it didn't happen.
I did buy an NOS one 25 years ago at a POCI convention.

There is a right hand NOS mirror for sale on eBay right now. I think this is the one, even if it's says "64-68 GTO".
I would like one on my car, to match the left remote mirror, but the price, $1,750.00, is way too much for me. Link to eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-1968-Po...-/131654014975 Pictures of the mirror ![]() ![]()

You don't want anything to do with that eBay seller. I have seen tons of bad press about them.

I would like one also. I know they are rare, to bad the aftermarket doesn't make one.

Wow, $125 for a RH orig mirror, missed that one...
Still, didn't take too long to knock up my Remote RH mirror from an orig LH.
