Now that looks awesome! Very trick on the hood set up. I do like the steel wheels and hubcaps...nice touch!

I've been trying to talk dad into putting the thin white wall stripes on the tires like it had when it was new. I thought that would be a neat "stealthy" touch and help to set it off with that white top. He's hesitant, lol
If I can get him to do that then I think the white stripe on the bottom of the car would be overkill at that point.

That is exactly how it looked when he bought it brand new. Except for the hidden headlights of course, we added those.

Here's a neat shot I took the other day.

We used to cruise these cars and race these cars together back in the 80's and throughout the 90's. Back then they both ran mid 11's and we cruised them everywhere. This is the first time they have been back together cruising in 10 years. Like old friends, they used to play together nicely, but now I'm getting my ass kicked, lol.
Paul are you listening??? We need to get going on that 502 bud

That's the kind of garage I need!

Very nice, and the air box worked out great!

I'm thinking this completes the sleeper look

Just how the car was when he bought it new.

Now if I can just talk him into doing it, lol.

Is the hood glass?

If not, how did you bond the L88 fresh air plenum?

Modified the L88 air box quite a bit,the opening was offset 1" cut and moved it. We placed it on the foam on the drop base closed the hood shine the flashlight through the opening, eyeballed and marked it. Formed the sides to look better and fiberglassed it on and finished it off and my son painted it. Lot of work but probably one off lol.

Oh forgot we spaced it down so we could get a 3" x 14" filter in it. The filter is flexible enough to get it in there.
