8. He is tied with Oakland’s Daryle Lamonica (Dec. 21, 1969) and San Francisco’s Steve Young (Jan. 29, 1995) as the NFL’s all-time leader for most postseason touchdown passes in one game, with six. Brady accomplished the feat Jan. 14, 2012, versus Denver.

9. His 26-of-28 passing performance in a Jan. 12, 2008, divisional-round win over the Jaguars ranks as the best-ever completion percentage (92.9) in a postseason game. Phil Simms (22-of-25, 88 percent, on Jan. 25, 1987) and Kurt Warner (29-of-33, 87.9 percent, on Jan. 10, 2010) are right behind him.

10. In divisional-round play, Brady has posted an 11-2 record, completing 316 of 509 pass attempts for 3,700 passing yards and 26 touchdowns.

11. Seven conference-championship victories are the most of any starting quarterback in the Super Bowl era (since 1966). He has appeared in 11 conference championship games overall, passing Gene Upshaw and George Blanda, both of whom had played in 10.

12. His seven Super Bowl appearances are the most ever by a player, passing defensive lineman Mike Lodish, who played in six between his time with the Bills (four) and Broncos (two).

If Brady's not the GOAT......please tell me who is ??

The GOAT discussion is always fun. I think of it two ways. On their best days I remember watching four guys whose performances were just about perfect:
Tom Brady Joe Montana Johnny Unitas (I'm old) Troy Aikman

Now being a Giants fan I could mention Phil Simms going 22-25 and completing his last 10 in a row in Super Bowl 21...

Career wise, Brady is the GOAT (IMHO, of course), look at the stats The Boss listed with Montana being a close 2nd. Brady had 1 full season where the Pats won less than 10 games... they went 9-7. It seems like the Pats go 11-5 when they are rebuilding. Edelman is out, Gronk gets hurt, the Pats keep winning.

Nobody mentions Terry Bradshaw. He was on great teams, but he was a very good QB.

And for all you Pats fans out there...Brady going 5 wins and 3 losses (2 against the Giants) in Super Bowls isn't bad.

Chris,

If you go by stat's only, you probably think EmmItt smith is the greatest Running Back of all time. Brady plays in a system that works for him. Take him out of his element and lets see how he does.Steve Young was OK at Tampa Bay,but was a much better QB at S.F.. If if I'm not mistaken did Charles Haley play in and win 6 Superbowl rings ( I may be wrong ) Cowboys and S.F.. Besides New England has to cheat to win.

Yeah, I can't afford his neighborhood (Chestnut Hill) but Brian has been to his house - delivered the two Aston Martins there for the design session. Unfortunately Gisele wasn't there. Btw, crumpets are better for tea time, scones are preferred in the morning.

He is the first five-time Super Bowl champion, and is one of only two such players, the other being Tom Brady. He won two Super Bowls with the 49ers (XXIII, XXIV) and three with the Cowboys (XXVII, XXVIII, XXX); he was a starter in all five championship games. Haley was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011 and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
Unless you have a better way of measuring them I think we'll have to stick with the stats - and weren't we talking about quarterbacks? How did Emmitt Smith get into this? Why would he go anywhere else - when you've got the best coach & you're the best QB surrounded by arguably the best revolving group of players, why would you leave? As for that revolving group of players - you have to give Belichick credit for grabbing guys like James Harrison on a regular basis and turning them into powerhouse players when their old team had decided they were worthless.

Impossible to ever annoit anyone greatest of all time in any sport whether it’s a team sport or singular. Too many changes from era to era. Rules, equipment, training methods, player conditioning, amount of games played and so on.
During the MLB playoffs announcers quote post season stats as if they’re all the same. Up until 69 tha max post season games that could be played were 7. Now it’s 20. Back then you were playing the team with best record in the other league. Now a team can start off by playing the team with the 4th best record in your own league.
When the Dolphins went to the SB after their undefeated season, Bob Griese threw the ball 11 Times. Now that’s little more than a quarter. Completely different game in all aspects.
I prefer just to say so and so is or was one of the greats.

First of all....The fans are NOT nasty, they are very passionate about their Eagles.
Sure , there are a few A$$HOLES at every game ....JUST like every other team. but because of a couple of national reported incidents over the years, they have a bad name. WRONG.
They are one of the best teams in the league in the 4TH quarter.

I was born in Philly and lived there many years and the fans are not any more nasty then anywhere else. They LOVE their Eagles, that is all. Eagles are going all the way this year!
