Exhaust cutout switch location
I've ordered a set of Quick Time exhaust cutouts for my 67 Lemans, and am interested in knowing where you folks that have them (or any other brand), mounted the switch. Pics would be great, if possible.

I think that would be a personal choice. Many type switches with/without lights. Get a good HD switch and include a fuse in the system to protect the wiring and motors.

Agree that it's a personal choice. If it were my car, I'd install the switch discretely, possibly hidden in the center console (if so equipped).

Do your homework on the cutouts I remember reading complaints of some with "Plastic" gears, but I can't recall which brand.

QTP is not plastic gears. Good choice to the op. I'm putting my switch inside the console. Keeps it hidden and easy to reach without fumbling around looking for it.

I have a pair of cut outs but they are cable operated. And then there was the VOE.

Those were Doug's. They say they have fixed that and use steel gears - the earlier ones used the plastic gears and there is a YouTube video on replacing them with steel gears.

I had the Quicktime with the wireless remote on the red GTO, but if I were using a switch I'd put it on the side of the console towards the rear where I could just casually reach down. I'd use a toggle with the switch lever up for open exhaust and down for closed.
