The Hurricane type intake is now available with the injector ports machined:
https://speedmaster79.com/Pontiac-32...Manifold-Satin "This Speedmaster Shootout manifold is a single plane manifold that will fit under all Pontiac hoods including the Trans-Am "Shaker" hood. It accepts a stock Quadrajet carb but we also include an adapter plate for standard square bore carbs." "With 4150 Series/spread bore flange. Can be port matched to Ram Air IV heads." They can actually be port matched to 325cfm+. EDIT: They state they are in stock, ready to ship. .

I have 342 cfm Edelbrock heads for this engine so I think the Victor may be my only option, with the exception of a Northwind. That intake doesn't look bad for the price though.

Sorry, but we had some issues with the crank sensor so no good passes were made at Norwalk. The best one was a 10.30 misfiring all the way down the track. We only had the boost at about 8 lbs. ( On the springs) never got a chance to use the CO2 boost control as she was running poorly after about 4500 rpm Pretty sure we have a solid solution in the works. We have a couple of test and tunes we can hit before Drag Week, so hopefully we'll get her sorted out. Thanks to everyone that stopped by to check it out. Great to meet everyone.

Ignition problems solved and she's making clean runs down the street ( In Mexico of course). The problem was the cam sync signal was not occurring in the right spot before the compression stroke so it was throwing off firing events even though the log files showed timing at a steady 25 deg. Thanks to my son Erik Jr. for all of his help and insight. We have a test and tune coming up on the 22nd where we will make a second attempt at some decent boosted runs. Car is very strong on wastegate springs (approx. 8.5 psi). We'll probably not shoot for much higher than 15. I'll post our results and video links on the 23rd. Then it's off to Hot Rod Drag Week. Here's a video from Norwalk. Maiden voyage down the track to check line lock, handling, trans operation and brakes. Just a lazy drive.

Erik - Regarding the misfiring/ Cam syn, was it a wall at 4500 or could you let off , get back on & continue to higher rpms? Did it only occur under load or all the time even on a stationary rev up?

Mainly occurred under load at about 5000rpm. It was as if you activated a two step, scrambling the cylinders. It would always pop out of the exhaust just before it would misfire. We thought we had a lean condition at first but that wasn't the case You could free rev it and it would sound fine. Strangest thing was the ignition timing in the data log was rock steady and no spark plug looked any different than the other. In fact, they looked brand new after every pass. It was mind boggling. As it turns out, the Holley Dominator did not like to process the cam sync signal from this Ford style sensor as "digital rising". As soon as we set it back up in a "digital falling" arrangement she straightened right up and came to life.

Interesting. Is the sensor a 3 wire Hall effect ? Like that of which Ford used in Explorers & the like? Per the response, I am assuming the AFR & MAP readings were good?

Yes, the good old 3 wire Taurus/Explorer sensor. AFR would show lean but as a result of the misfires.

So curious, how was it determined the cam sensor was occurring at the wrong point?

It involved running a system log (not a data log) and seeing where, in the rotation of the crank, the cam signal was occurring. Although it was within Holley's window of operation it was not in the optimal location of 195deg +/- 15deg before TDC of the compression stroke as instructed by Luhn, the manufacturer of the cam sync assy. Totally my fault for setting it up wrong to begin with. Or at least not fully understanding their instructions. Lessons learned for sure. Initially we were able to get it running by switching the "digital falling" setting to "digital rising" which apparently made the Holley computer happy enough to fire it up and all seemed fine until we took it to the track. However, after much research and circuit testing we realized that the sensor was actually working opposite of what we thought was correct. So, when the sensor is uncovered it signals 12v to the ecu. When the shutter is closed it goes to zero volts. We were told the opposite. Anyway, it's fixed and we will move on!

The Holley won't run in batch/wasted spark if you lose cam sync?

It will if configured to, but we wanted to fix what we had and keep it sequential.

Understandable for sure. I was just curious how it would behave if it loses the cam sync.
