Nice buy! Love the color, and the price was much more reasonable. You've got some money left over to make it exactly as you want it, which is part of the fun of owning a classic car. Looking forward to more photos & posts when it gets to you. Congrats!

Very nice, looks solid, the 3:55’s need to go back in it..make the difference you are looking for.. posi I assume? I had a 65,66 and 67 goat, now have a 66 2+2 tripower car..love the 66 lines on both cars.

Was 1979, had my '66 Lemans. One of our customers bought a '66 2+2 convertible. Had 421, tri-power, 4 spd. Candle light Cream, Black bucket interior. Car ran and looked like new. Only paid $600 for it. After having it for about 6 months, he decided to sell it, as he was tired of shifting. Offered it to me for $700. Me, being the dumb kid I was, laughed and said, "now what makes you think I want a boat like that". If I only knew. I didn't have that kind of dough back then anyway.

Passenger door problem. The door button shaft was probably cut to short. Get a new button and cut to length.
