COOL! Clever idea - 2+2 Safari! ...with the third seat it could be 2+2 +2!

Nice ride Marv!
It made me think of a car I stumbled upon a couple of years ago, a slammed '64 Bonneville Vista.

Not much to look at right now, but then again this car is going to keep it's patina while we work on mechanical things and that will take a while. We are going to have it sanded down to knock off the flaky stuff and have some semi-gloss put over it. When we get ready to make it shiny we'll have it stripped down and done right. '63 Catalina, 421 car from what we were told (have not had PHS done) but unfortunately chevy powered for now.

Thanks guys! Yes 63gpman, that was the slab for my garage. We will be digging it up in a few months so i am going to recover the tent with a much better/bigger cover.

It's easier to find temporary accomodation for a cool Pontiac while building a new shed, than it is to buy a cool Pontiac once the shed is done Plus, this way it gives me the next 6months of autumn and winter to get her ready for spring and cruise season

Thanks Bruce. I was really shocked when she picked it out while down in Daytona for the rod run. It bounces all over the place, it does not stop worth a flip and it runs like crap but all that is being taken care of right now. They fixed the carb today and are redoing the trans cooling lines to the external cooler. They've pulled the tank and cleaned it out, new plugs and fuel pump as well. They let it run for a long time today and it did good. Road test tomorrow and I assume new brakes and shocks will be next. I have the new tires for it and we need a day of cleaning and quick stop at the exhaust shop to replace the mufflers and straighten up tailpipes. This one is for her, she wants the patina look and I'm fine with that as long as it is mechanically sound. Another old Pontiac will be back cruising this spring/summer is how I see it.

Still has drum brakes in front? The shoes will be "organic" now a days and can "glaze up" I have found fairly easily, causing the car to pull to one side.
Good luck, and be safe )
