Default 68 GTO glove box

Thia might be a stupid question , but does the glove box go in from the front or back? Seems like either way it is going to get bent up. Thanks in advance.

Are you serious? The liner slips right up from the back with no problems. I don't think there would be much left of the liner if you crammed it through the small front opening!

Also does the cardboard lip lay on top of the door hinge or tuck underneath? Are there supposed to be four sheet metal clips for the door?

My RePops box enters from the rear. It has been over twenty years since my car had a glovebox, so it took a bit of trial and error to make it fit right and for the door to line up and close correctly. This is how I did it

Top and sides of box lay behind the dash opening.
The bottom of the box must be bent on the corrugated lines and mounts on top of the dash but under the hinge.

Two clips on the dash mount the door hinge but holes must be punched through the box for the screws to pass through. The inner screws mount the box to the hinge.

Door hinge spring slides between the box and the dash
Two additional clips are required for the upper side screws. They slide onto the box sides

The correct tire pressure decal (not a sticker) can be found here.

Perfect, thanks.
Are 68 GTO Repops boxes better fitting that REM boxes? I know REM doesn't put clips on the bottom.

So the cardboard needs to be drilled for the outer screws, right?

I just used an awl to poke thru the box after it was mounted. The screws will drive through the hole

I rarely see where these things end up - the decal looks good! Thanks for the plug
