Awesome project! What are the capabilities of the TVS 2650? Is this blower what they’re running in the newer Super Stock NHRA cars?

Not sure about NHRA racing, but the TVS 2650 will support 1000+ flywheel HP.

An HEI distributor will not fit- but I don't think you want one. The best solution is a Holley (MSD) "Dual Sync" distributor which does fit, as this gets you not only ignition, but crank and cam sensors as well in one package. One plug and play connector into the ECU.

Here is an early mock up on a 389 with the factory distributor shown. No room for a large body HEI. This engine has the rear mounted PCV, the kit also allows for a front mounted PCV, as well as the aftermarket (Tomahawk) valley cover. The factory valley cover also fits fine.

The green risers are 3D printed mockups for packaging and general arrangement. I must have made 15 versions of these before getting to the final version which are 5 axis machined from aluminum. Production units will be cast aluminum.

The random round dots that are visible are targets left over from the scanning. The entire block, heads, supercharger, etc were all high resolution scanned.

I find the process around producing this stuff really fascinating and amazing considering the advances in technology. Thanks for sharing and thanks for putting the effort in to make something cool.

What a great, needed, product! Congratulations for not only thinking of it, but actually producing it! I hope it performs as great as it looks!

I am impressed to say the least. I gather the Eddy distrbutor from their Pro-Flo 4 setup would work here too? Guys with the Eddy setup may be able to step up to forced air with your setup almost seamlessly.

Another thought is another lid may be able to work with the OEM shaker setup.

I made a dozen or so of those for LS3's so there is a small market there.

Yes, any full sequential port injection ECU will work, including the Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4. The Pro-Flo 4 distributor will work as well. The injectors in the units that are currently built are hidden under the blower in the valley. They are the “shorty” Bosch 14 mm tip injectors with the EV6 connectors.

For the longer injectors that may not fit under the blower, such as with the Pro Flo 4, I have provided another location on the riser that will accommodate virtually any injector.

Here you can see in the 3D printed mock-up the injector locations for this configuration.

The injector locations are machined into the castings to order, and you can have either location drilled. Or if a guy wants 16 injectors, that’s possible too.

It’s no problem to make a billet lid in any configuration you want, including a shaker style hood, but billet parts are not cheap.

I may be completely off base. Is it possible to block off throttle body and make a top plate to accept a draw through carb?

Not easily, no. These types of twin screw superchargers take the air in through the ends, in this case the front, and move the air axially (lengthwise) down the length of the rotors and discharges towards the rear.

This particular blower is a "blow up" style, which means the rotors are mounted low in the valley, with an air to water intercooler directly on top, and the air is blown upwards towards and through the intercooler which is right on top of the rotors. In the case of this blower, the charge air passes through the intercooler twice, which lowers the IAT's significantly as compared to other designs, and has less plumbing.

If carb(s) are wanted, I think the GMC style blower that takes the air from the top and passes it around the sides of the rotors (radially) is a better choice. I think there are some firms that make a kit for the Pontiac.

These are not as efficient as the twin axial screw type, and usually require a pretty big hole in the hood, but they sure do look cool.

Here is a illustration of how the blow up design works, sorry this is from a later model Ford, and is a much smaller blower, but the principle is the same.
