quote:
The rims would be American Racing Torq Thrust II`s 15x7 in front 15x8 in back with 235/60/15 in front and 275/50/15`s in the back. Thanks for the compliment Jimmy

They look great!! I'm glad theres several of you that have put the TTIIs on a '68-69 GTO. Make it a lot easier for me to decide if I want to use 'em too. Anyone consider going with a lower profile/wider tire such as a 50 or 45 and has anyone thought about jumping up to a 17" or 18" rim? TIA....

I'm considering going with 265/50-16s, same diam. as G70-14s (225/70-14s) but wider, for daily use. That way I don't have to change the speedo gear so that I can switch between the "correct" sized bsw on RIIs for shows and the "better performing" wide tires for cruises and tours.

And in sweeps a board newbie to pull an old post from the past. But I've been looking for a place to post pics of the ride I just picked up this past weekend. This looked like the place!

That's beautiful!!
Is that Goldenrod Yellow (Daytona Yellow) from 1969? What size are the tires/wheels? Nevermind on the tires, I just saw your other post, congratulations!

I'm not sure what exact yellow it is. But it is bright as hell - not for shy drivers! I'll get through all the receipts and hopefully get to an answer by contacting the restoration shop.
I was surprised to see the widened PMD wheels running the 295/50/15's in the rear. That one detail made the car look much more badass IMO, particularly when viewed directly from behind. Mike M

Here's a pic of mine in the process of being painted. I had the engine rebuilt last year and decided to paint it my self. Its been taking me a while to do, but I'm in no hurry. I don't have alot of time to work on it. Just Fridays mainly. I have 2 kids I'd rather spend my spare time with. I still have about 14 years to get it done

I restored mine '95-'97 Like the looks of the yellow '68 above. Interesting they have 1970 side mirrors. |
