quote:
The rims would be American Racing Torq Thrust II`s 15x7 in front 15x8 in back with 235/60/15 in front and 275/50/15`s in the back. Thanks for the compliment Jimmy

They look great!! I'm glad theres several of you that have put the TTIIs on a '68-69 GTO. Make it a lot easier for me to decide if I want to use 'em too. Anyone consider going with a lower profile/wider tire such as a 50 or 45 and has anyone thought about jumping up to a 17" or 18" rim? TIA....

I'm considering going with 265/50-16s, same diam. as G70-14s (225/70-14s) but wider, for daily use. That way I don't have to change the speedo gear so that I can switch between the "correct" sized bsw on RIIs for shows and the "better performing" wide tires for cruises and tours.

And in sweeps a board newbie to pull an old post from the past. But I've been looking for a place to post pics of the ride I just picked up this past weekend. This looked like the place!

That's beautiful!!
Is that Goldenrod Yellow (Daytona Yellow) from 1969?

What size are the tires/wheels?
Nevermind on the tires, I just saw your other post, congratulations!

I'm not sure what exact yellow it is. But it is bright as hell - not for shy drivers! I'll get through all the receipts and hopefully get to an answer by contacting the restoration shop.

I was surprised to see the widened PMD wheels running the 295/50/15's in the rear. That one detail made the car look much more badass IMO, particularly when viewed directly from behind.

Wow, that's one retina searing car. It looks great. Congrats on becoming a GTO owner.

Here's a pic of mine in the process of being painted. I had the engine rebuilt last year and decided to paint it my self. Its been taking me a while to do, but I'm in no hurry. I don't have alot of time to work on it. Just Fridays mainly. I have 2 kids I'd rather spend my spare time with. I still have about 14 years to get it done

Like the looks of the yellow '68 above. Interesting they have 1970 side mirrors.
