body mount hardware question. 1971 GTO
Was removing the body mount bolts on the '71 GTO yesterday when the one behind the left rear wheel broke off. I only see the bolts and washers offered for the body mount hardware but no nuts that go in the body cavity. Now I have no idea what these look like as I have never broken one before so my question is, what do the nuts look like and where can they be purchased from. Thanks for any insight on this.

Look up Body Cage Nuts. They are a square nut with a flanged cage around it to keep it from spinning. I did my 70 mounts last year and had to cut floor to get to and replace 4 of them. the cage is welded to the car.

Yep, they are P/N S387D on page 312 of the current Ames catalog.
