Quick Disconnect Starter Wiring
Has anyone ever tried a quick disconnect starter wiring harness to make starter removal easier? Doing some work on my 66 Tempest and wanted to clean up the starter harness and make it easier to get out. I have searched some web sites, but haven't found anything that really looks like it would work, all the ones I saw did not look like it contained a heavy guage positive cable, but only the solenoid wiring. Any thoughts or recommendations of where to get this wiring?

There is a type of connector for a gauge wire thick enough to be used for the pos cable on the starter, but it's bulky, and can lead to a poor connection over time. Same with the other two leads, the quick disconnect plastic thing that snaps to the top of the sol always cooks and gets brittle, or the connector is bulky. Best thing, and easiest thing, is to do the ol' Ford sol/hot-start conversion, which leaves only the pos cable going to the starter.
