This is my baby, 1984 Monte Carlo SS. I have literally owned it for half of my life as of this week. 21 years.

1947 Ford with a sbc 350

2003 Monte Carlo SS Jeff Gordon edition. Jeff sat in the passenger seat and autographed the dash

And the current daily driver is a 2017 Dodge Challenger SXT Plus Black Top edition. This car is a blast to drive even though it’s just a V6. I call this the poser car because everyone who sees it assumes it’s got a V8

I have spent most of my life in love with cars, so I do like many cars other than Pontiacs. Pontiacs are #1 for sure, but a short list of other favorites, more or less in order would be. 1. 1970 AMX 390 2. 1968 Mustang 428 3. 1970 Buick GS 455 stage 1 4. 67-68 Z28 5. Studebaker Avanti R2 6. 66-67 Charger Hemi 7. 1971 GTX hemi, 8. 1970 442 W-30 9. Ford Thunderbolt 10. C2 Corvette. Can't afford a single one of them, but love them all.

My 10 year project '59 GMC is fun, as the 101 year old Buick has been the last couple summers. And of course Wangers' 'Bandit' Suburban has been great the last ten years.
I love nearly all old domestic cars. However, I too have a particularly soft spot for early '60s small Fords.

First pic is the '65 Falcon I sold a couple years back. 2nd is the '62 Meteor that Dad had before he was drafted.

campbell- The Falcon looks nice; I tend to forget that there were hardtops from 63 1/2 on- all my little fords have been Rancheros and sedans. The photos are of the mild-custom '64 Ranchero that I built in '72. It's appropriate that it's now my son's, since he rode the 2,000 miles to/from that year's inaugural Street Machine Nationals in it- before he was born in January '73! He drives and enjoys it, but the multiple coats of clear are now in bad shape. It has a fair number of GM parts- '62 Skylark grille, Tempest front bumper, Camaro rear bumper above the rolled pan, etc.

[before someone complains- for some unknown reason, published Car Craft histories show the first Street Machine Nationals occurring in 1973. But the plaque from '72 is still attached to the dash in this Ranchero]

I wish my Meteor (now belongs to my other son) were that "clean".

We are into everything here. Currently have Fords, Pontiacs, Chevrolets, VW's. Most of them we've had more than 30 years. If it's a classic, we like it. My wife was into Jeeps for the longest time, had a Scrambler and several CJ's, Had a Triumph TR6, a few Corvettes, and a handful of Blazers. We simply enjoy anything classic, that's all we drive. I'd own a Mopar or AMC if the right one came along. I've always had a fascination with all brands, especially anything muscle car with top dog engine options. It would be easier to tell you the cars I wouldn't own, lol.

I'm into pretty much everything automotive, from variety of cars to car events.
The things I actually own tend to be Firebirds, Mustangs (currently have a '65 that my aunt bought new and that my 17-year old son and I are fixing up, an '88 LX 5.0 that was my first new car and that I sold/bought back/restored, a '94 GT, and an '18), and Porsche 911s.

I had this 1994 Sierra GT for awhile. Decided to sell it because some A'hole tried to steal at work.

Those are fantastic little cars. About 4 years ago I bought an 89 LX 5.0 that my wife's coworker bought brand new. Arizona car all it's life, sun faded paint but otherwise a good car with all service records. 230,000 miles on it and the darn thing runs like a swiss watch and doesn't burn a drop of oil. I painted it, and some other cosmetics, drove it myself for a while and really got to liking it. Very fun to squirt around in. Then gave it to my son on his graduation. He daily drives it now with over 250k on the clock and still running strong, 25 mpg consistently. I'm very impressed with the mileage and how tight it still drives. Drivetrain wise these things were pretty stellar.

I'm somewhat fond of my "Jetstream Blue" 2008 corvette....great car. El Caminos have always been a favorite. The last one I owned had a ZZ4 motor and a 3.73 gear..lots of fun. I've always liked the late 60's AMX but have never owned one.

Shinoda was the designer of the C2 Corvette before his time at Ford..

Yes, he was one of a kind in the world of automotive design.

I love almost all cars that have style and power! If we're talking modern cars then they must have power because style is usually compromised for aerodynamics and califorornia/café standards. Pre-war cars are incredible: https://www.mecum.com/lots/SC0518-32...uick-roadster/ can you look at this and not drool? If you can I suspect you have something wrong with you!

What about this post war car:https://www.mecum.com/lots/SC0518-32...c-convertible/

I could go on and on but I will just close with this; If I had the money for the staff and storage I would own almost every make and model up until 1974 and then it would advance to my now all-time favorite the ZO6 Corvette! Dollar for performance the ZO6 Corvette is the best performance car in the world!

carmine agree with you I think the 348/409 engine is the coolest looking engine made back in the day. Well except the 389 with 3X2.

Assembling a 1926 Model T Tudor for a friend.

Also love my Tesla S. 0-60 on 2.8 seconds.

And the Tesla was made in same plant as my 68 GTO in Fremont CA.

Boss, it's a slim chance but I could have delivered that Cutlass 442 to that dealer in Mechanicsville. I delivered to him many times over the years I hauled cars, and up to the end of the rear wheel drive cars in 87. She looks very good for her age and looks still original. Love the color too.

Small world right? It was well cared for but had a few issues which I took care of imediately. I had planned on letting my son drive it for the summer 4 years ago but got into a battle with the ex about letting him drive a car without an airbag so I sold it out of anger. I got more than twice what I paid for it so no biggie.
