Guess I never did post any picture's of this "survivor" '72 Luxury Lemans I bought last year? I know it's a 4dr., but this thing is all original and I just hand polished the paint on it to make look like this! As you can see it is a low mile car and drives like a new car. Inside is perfect, had newspaper under the floor mats and seats were covered since new by little old lady owner. Trunk was also covered with newspaper and had every license plate from day one and the registrations original '72 plate's are back on it, also the original window sticker and every piece of paperwork from day one! I could go on and on with this one! Most of these picture's are before I did anything with it. I will get some better picture's now that the weather has warmed up!

Lyn.

Yeah that thing is a total score. I would daily drive the heck out of that thing. I miss bench seat cars on top of it. There's a ton of good reference material there too!

I thought I had found one like this a few years back. Found it in the Chattanooga paper while up there visiting the in-laws. Drove over to look at it and it was a rust bucket. Looks like you found one of the good ones!

Lot's of good reference points on this car for restoring another '72 and that played into the reason for buying it also!

Lyn, I see that the spare wheel is painted dark (Wilderness?) green on the LL. Are the other wheels also green? My eyes must be going bad, but is that a hardtop with vent windows?

Looking forward to seeing the 4-spd Lyn!

Dennis, the '72 LeMans was available as a four-door hardtop, and they are equipped with vent glass. Therefor, no sport mirrors were available because the vent glass couldn't open fully due to the position and size of those mirros.

Well, the vast majority of the time I learn from you and the others here, so I'm glad to help.

BTW, the sport mirror deal is the reason that one could not order a '72 LeMans GT in the coupe body style. The LeMans GT had sport mirrors as standard equipment and the coupe body style had vent windows.

Lloyd, I assumed the 4-door hardtops were like the 2-doors....vent windowless. I see the vents in the 70-72 brochures, just never paid much attention to them, just the sedans since I have two now. Same for the GT-37 in 71, hardtop only like the GT in 72.

Carguy66car,
My '71 T-37 had dark green wheels. Not black.
