Bummer that you had to yank the trans out of your finished car! Did you figure out what was causing the early shifting in your first trans?
Also, I like how you have your trans mounted on an engine stand. I was thinking of doing the same thing soon with mine.

[QUOTE=ZeGermanHam;6348338]Bummer that you had to yank the trans out of your finished car! Did you figure out what was causing the early shifting in your first trans? Well my trans guy told me it could be the governor and gave me a modified one with different weights but still no change. So he told me it has to be a weak 1st to 2nd spring. not a big deal but still needs to be removed to fix. I found another 67 GTO trans that I swapped out so I could get this done in one day. I can have the other trans totally gone over now by my trans guy. I should of did this in the first place. |

Well I guess I got lucky. The replacement trans seems fine. I hate buying things that others claim are rebuilt but the guy I bought it from undoubtedly has one of the nicest 67 GTO I have seen. I can tell he is particular about his stuff and tested him
2nd -3rd shift point just needs to be adjusted I am hoping the modulator will correct that |
