Roll Call!!!
It's a shame that we, as owners of the old and new GTOs can't peacefully express our love of both cars here. However, it's gotten entirely too quiet on this particular forum.
So, I was wondering, who's still here? I personally don't post much as there is not a whole lot left to discuss on the old GTOs, and most posts concerning the new ones result in less than amicable tones.
I currently own a '71 Lemans Sport, a '72 GTO, a '72 GP, a 2004 GTO A4, and a 2005 M6. I LOVE them all, but moreso, the '72 GTO and the '04 GTO A4. (I personally think manuals are overrated, my opinion only).
So chime in if you're still here. Even Red70GTO has disappeared. So do we let this forum just die?

Here... checking in ever so often. Most of the favorable action toward new GTO's is on the ls2gto.com website.
'67 GTO 4-spd
'00 Grand Am GT
'05 GTO A4

Good to see a few of us still here. I must say I have been totally pleased with the New Goat. Almost two years since I picked up my '04 and the car continues to impress. Can't say I've found anything about it to dislike. Having old and new makes you appreciate each of them in what they offer.
Just curious as to whether any owners feel differently about their car now vs early in the ownership experience.
Also, has anyone heard of the "Revenge GTO"?

"Revenge GTO" sounds pretty cool, I'll look forward to seeing it.
The only dislike I've had (well there is that speaker popping thing) with my 04 is not driving it enough. 2 kids and hobbies seems to put me in the Odyssey more than I'd like!

In my family......69 GP, 67 GTO, 62 Cat (Dads' owned since 64), 62 Bonny Conv. That's just the ones we kept. I'd get writers cramp talking about the ones that were sold.

I just turned 35,000 on my '05 with no issues to speak of. This is turning out to be one of the best cars I've owned. As you can tell, I drive alot and the fit, finish and comfort of the interior is second to none. A very comfortable car to drive.

Well, I'll add my two cents. I have an '05 Torrid Red M6 with just over 1800 miles on it now and the more I drive it the more I want to because it's a great car (for all the reasons most have expressed as well as my own experience). I did get the optional grills which I think make it a bit more distinctive, otherwise I will keep it stock.
I also have a '70 GTO, 455 HO hardtop with 4 speed and A/C, frame-off restoration that I completed just over 4 years ago. It has about 2500 miles on it since restoration. It really runs great, but I prefer to drive the '05 now that I have one. Admittedly, gas prices may play a part in that decision since the '70 gets only 10 mpg and the '05 gets 18 to 25 mpg depending on how I drive it. That double overdrive sure is nice!!
Have fun with them while you can.

Just turned 5500mi on my '04. It's such a great car. Like rexus said, the build quality is fantastic compared to other cars I've owned. I just took it to the track the other day for the first time. I turned a best of 13.8@102. Not bad for a basically stock car on street tires if I do say so myself. The best part - turning the A/C on and cruising home in a comfy leather seat

I also added a door lock switch like the '06 has by tapping in to existing wires on the BCM. It's pretty handy. I think there's guys selling kits on ls1gto.com now, but I did mine the hard way. Of course, you don't need that if you already have an '06.

I've also got a Superchips "tune" so I think that helped some. Still, I was basically hot-lapping it between passes and didn't play with tire pressure so I think there's room to improve with what I got. Some drag radials would definitely be a boon to my 60' times (2.1 sec), but I like the idea of seeing how fast I can go with the car setup exactly as it is on the street.

Mines at 1400 miles a 05 not driven much.
Its really a fun car to drive. Kinda plain looking and thinking of some changes like SAP.

Thats not bad as I saw many 05s running not far off this number at PIP event. Autos ran a little faster.
