Really I would think they would make D-ports, more D's running out there then Round port.

I just bought a set of these headers for break in of my 65 GTO. I will let you know how well they fit. If they clear the Z bar I'll be a happy man...

I e-mailed the e-bay seller.....never heard back. I think I am gonna buy a set also, on the outside chance that they fit my E-heads/IAII block....and custom chassis. I can always have them altered a little OR use them as "break in headers"........just seems too good to be true. Eric

I also emailed the seller and got no response. In his defense I didnt give him much time to respond. Based on other folks opinions, I chose to take the chance with them for breakin. At $284 delivered I could not touch a set of manifolds at that price. After breakin they will go on the wall for future use. Now I'm eyeballing a new IA block for future build.I want to fire up this motor soon so I will post my findings with fit and finish of the headers.

i saw those too. thinking of buying some round port heads just to use these headers. useally you need to buy round port headers after buying round port heads.

Held the headers up to a set of E-heads.....I might have to clearance one hole. No big deal. It has become evident that they will need some modification to clear the sides of the IAII block. Eric

Mine have clearance issues on both end holes more on one end. Their gaskets also at one end are way off the Edelbrock heads.

ok OBX into 68 GTO issues found
engine mounts need to be higher ... mine where originals and needed 5mm lift to clear steering arms .
watch your wiring for the starter motor she's tight around there
watch your auto module line for clearance

Craig
sounds sweet

Last set of new Pertronix Doug's 64-67 D-ports I installed for a club member was a couple months ago. My early sets when Doug had the company were totally flush on the block side, but the new ones have a raised weld around the ports that seal up to the gasket like most other companies have done. The box stated "Made in Mexico". These Doug's also had the left collector angled downward at the end instead of being horizontal. It's been awhile since I've seen a new set of Doug's, so the manufacturing changes might not be all that recent. That cocked collector wouldn't have made it out the door when Doug owned the company.
