Looks I'm gonna be one in the minority here and say I really dislike them on that car. They look fine on old Truimphs(as mentioned above) and REAL Mini Coopers, but not at all on your 'Bird. Stick with Rally IIs for the best possible look for that car. Rally IIs are by far the best choice for most Pontiacs.

Can't wait to see them on the car!

I have 255/60-15~195/50-15 on mine. I have 8" rims all the way around. Really looking forward to how your 10"s look. I really want wider rear rims. I think I'm going shorter on the front next time; 245/50.

To Fullsize455; Think he didn't take the route with the mini-light style.

I think they're like literal Trans Am wheels. But it's just an opinion on style, so it's up to the car's owner and his happiness.

I really like these, But I can't afford them and can I corner on them?

That a typical wheel for the TR 6. That type has been around since the -70:s and I think they're called GP wheels over here (on the other side of the pond).

Received the rims yesterday. Not sure about the workmanship.. I'm a little disappointed.

The fronts are fine, the backside is questionable.

Tell me what you think.

Thanks

I'll bet for another few 100 dollars they'd shine the back up nicely.

Those were some pretty cobbing looking welds. I'd wonder how well the wheels themselves were balanced and if you have any problems getting the wheel and tire combo balanced with minimal weight.

Those welds look fine, good penetration, should be plenty strong.

They're not a work of art, but they're definitely not bad.

I agree with B-man that those welds look pretty strong. I'm guessing it was a machine set up thing cause I don't know that a person would just keep spitting that bead over the other like that.

Is that aluminum to aluminum?

I would have gone with your first choice..classic and you don't see them often.I was considering them myself but the price was a little more than I wanted to shell out. I had a set of the American 200s' back in the day when they were made of all aluminum instead of the steel rim/aluminum center they are today. awsome looking ..but I can't get past the chrome looking finish of the modern wheel.

Definitely not a work of art. More like my welding! I wasn't concerned so much by the strength but my the blobs of weld that might make the wheel/tire combo harder to balance.

Centerlines have a good reputation and I wouldn't hesitate to use them for racing or hard driving. I'm not sure why you're fussing over welds that may not be pretty but are good, especially when they're on the backside.

You can get what you want (artistic welds and a perfectly polished and finished rim), but you'll definitely pay alot more than you did for the centerlines.

They may require a little extra balancing, but that's pretty norm. Centerlines are a good choice for price and sizing/backspacing. I like a number of their' styles, and like the ones you chose too.

I had an issue with Centerline at one time, trying to buy a replacement wheel that I had damaged. I believe at that time the company was going through a transition, because I sure didn't get what I considered good customer services. I believe my replacement wheel took about 9 or 10 weeks to get, and a lot of aggravation. I've have great experiences prior, so will write it off as being due to a transition:

Thanks guys for all the feed back on the rims and tires good or bad. I'm kinda anal when it comes to buying products. I have no problem paying, I just want it 100% correct.

I showed my Son, who's a welder and he said it's not bad Dad..lol You won't see it anyway. It's on the back side. Oh, and he said the rims look Bad Ass..lol

Anyway, my wife it starting to lay claim to them for her 68 Firebird. She really likes them.

They look nice to me- did you go 15 x 10 in back? I would have tried to squeeze some 295/50R15's on those.
