Default 1985 MACHO TRANS AM

WAS THERE REALLY A 1985 MACHO TRANS AM AND IF SO IS IT A RARE CAR.....WORTH ANYTHING?? ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT!

Just happened to see this topic. Not sure as to the history, but there are two 1985 MSE Trans Am's on the Premier Firebird Gallery site. No information on them, they just state very few were built.

Someone had a white MSE T/A like the one above when I was in High School. I knew the Mecham name meant it was "special" but didn't know much more beyond that. I seem to recall it had a number on it like the earlier Macho T/A.

For what it's worth, this article mentions 500 were built in '82, 150 in '83, 50 in '84 and "only a few" in '85.

Here's the web site from the man who made them. The Macho T/A name ran from 1977-1980. The cars became MSE (motor sports edition) from 1982-1985. In the '90's he sold the Macho name and when he started tuning again he called them Mecham T/A's.
